There is no doubt that Israel's regime and its Zionist supporters aimed at driving million Palestinians out, legitimize the military occupation, stripping the Palestinians of land, rights, homes and replaced them with preferred settlers. Here, I’m still having trouble in understanding why our government allowed such acts to continue, even the stakes are high for the U.S national interest.

In lights of support, for decades into the occupation of Palestine, the Arab countries seems fiercely engage in the struggle for Palestinian rights that once championed. Hence, Arab countries competed over support Palestinian cause, but recently they have been in competition over better ties with the U.S.

Yet, the regional climate has changed, shifting alliances and making the Palestine plight less of regional priority. The instability in the Arab world led to decline in support for Palestine tragedy. Armed conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan and Yemen have left thousands killed, injured, arrested and displaced, which no end in sight. That is, everyone is busy is trying to gather shattered pieces of his or her life. Further, in most of the Arab countries, civil societies

and political parties and actors are symbolic and do not exercise a large influence on leaders' decision making. Additionally, the deep division within Palestine makes it difficult how to support it.

Thus, the latest opinion Index survey 2017-2018 indicated an aggregate support of the Palestine cause among Arabs, overall 77 percent of the respondents believed Palestine belong to the Palestinians and 87 percent opposed normalization in the absence of peace with Israel.

When looking at countries' specific responses, only 64 percent of Palestinians thought Palestine belong to them, which was the lowest percentage among surveyed countries, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.

Significantly, young people in the Arab world are generally United around common thread of ideas, principles and aspirations, irrespective of Arab governments and political systems. Over time, this unity among Arab youth will be a force of change.
